The DJ Quit

First life in sound was dance. But, the DJ controls the groove. I was unsatisfied by chasing DJs to find my dance so I bought turntables in 1998. I hustled my skills and mixes all the way to Chicago because that is where the house music I loved came from. I landed a few club residencies, picked up an agent and played a few national and international gigs. These times were exciting and terrifying – the dance floor either loved or hated you. I eventually grew out of the limitations of club culture and mixing vinyl records. I wanted to explore sound composition from scratch with other instruments in new venues.

But, I never stopped loving the groove. Here’e an old mix from 2002…
